Access a Professional Development
Course in Computational Thinking

These resources are designed to be used by schools and/or districts who want to facilitate computational thinking professional development. The resources may be used in part or whole in educational settings.


The primary strategy is to include traditionally underrepresented students by focusing on school-wide integration of CS and computational thinking into core academic classes. This professional development course will focus teachers to:

  • leverage popular computer science applications (e.g. Khan Academy, Scratch,
  • include unplugged activities to teach CS and computational thinking
  • embed inclusive instructional strategies and universal access
  • utilize socially and culturally relevant resources for CS instruction
  • structure the classroom and instruction to support social/emotional learning
